I know I am late for the party. I do. But that's okay! I made it. I did make some New Year's resolutions (some of which I am struggling to keep)! And I also purposed to spend some time looking back over my life in 2012 and pulling out some of the most encouraging things to help me stay focused.
In January of 2012, I think I was doing more juicing and exercising and eating gluten free 100%. I want to continue that. (Eat lots of fruits and vegetables to age beautifully!)
I had three great pairs of boots in the winter of 2012. I am down to just one great pair and one that needs fixin'. I want more boots!! I love boots.
Did I say I love boots yet?
I also had a bright white bedroom, and I am so missing that bright light. I must do something about it! I love the green that my husband had in his bedroom, but it's darker, and I need light!
I was extra creative with my hair in 2012, even making a high top knot (a true knot!) that ended in a ponytail. Yeah. I need to be that creative again. (I thought this new marriage was supposed to give me even more time!)
I spent the month enjoying a pink Christmas tree covered in homemade Alice in Wonderland decorations. Fun stuff! I love little twinkly bright lights and lots of whimsical clutter, ur, uh, decor around. But in 2013 I want to be more selective and deliberate.
Does the brightness here just grab you? Or maybe it is the bright memories I have of this time! At any rate, here is to taking care of yourself! Here is to wearing what you love! Here is to surrounding yourself with what makes you happy!

Next, I will remember February 2012! And show you a piece of altered couture from this morning.

I love boots, and vegetables.
ReplyDeleteMy husband calls me the "lawn mower". If it is green I am game, lol

Boots and fruits and vegetables. :)
ReplyDeleteLove the Alice ornaments too!
You look so beautiful with your hair in the top knot, Lynn. I'm with you lovely ladies on the importance of fruit and veg (and gorgeous boots). I find avocado is particularly good at giving me clear skin and bright eyes. Yummy too!
ReplyDeleteWell done you to be so creative, the alice in wonderland ornaments are adorable, I love that bright blue.
Here's wishing the next wonderful pair of boots comes your way soon. I bet your Christmas tree was as beautiful as you and your wonderful artwork.
ReplyDeleteok I'm stealing the Alice in Wonderland idea. It's always been one of my favorite books.
ReplyDeleteI love that quote you included here! And did I hear you say that you love boots?? Me too!
ReplyDeleteJuicing! I need to get into that! the green juice pictured makes me FEEL virtuous!
ReplyDeleteI plan on getting some more boots. I used to wear only boots, but then fell into the delights of shoes....!
