Do you, like I do, wonder every year at Christmastime, "how did another year fly by so quickly?"
I guess that thought inspired my most recent collage.
"Dost thou love life? Then do not squander time; for that is the stuff life is made of." ~Benjamin Franklin.
In the mood for Christmas dress-up, but not anything traditional, I chose a vintage blouse and topped it with a "vest" that is really a stretch-fit cotton shirt that hooks all the way up the front. I thought the recent tapestry covered leather belt (a one-dollar steal) went great with the whole thing!
The outfit details:
Blouse: Gloria Vanderbilt, thrifted
Vest: 6 degrees
Belt: Recent 1 dollar find.
Brooch: Handmade by yours truly
Skirt: apostrophe
Boots -- which you cannot see: The ever present Steve Maddens (ha!)
Tights: Apartment 9 (Kohl's)
I hope you enjoy this assortment from my collection of Vintage Christmas Cards.
Some asked me how I did the editing trick of making a photo black and white but leaving the painting intact. Just like this:
Some time today I will put a tutorial on one of my other blogs, A Mother's Journal, telling how I did that.
Most recent collage going into The Shop today as well!
Enjoy your holidays!!
XOXOXOXO

That last Christmas card is wonderful, it looks like where I live. Although I think you probably feel the same living next to a wood too. You look lovely, the blouse is gorgeous, especially with the vest. Your cameo brooches are always lovely and the collage is great too.
