Dear Dress Lovers,
It's a beautiful day in the neighborhood. Anyone know who always said that?
It's been sweltering lately, or it least it has felt so to me. That said, I felt like a neat, light, casual dress code would fit the day.
The skirt is made by Stiletto. I love that the tag inside says Made in the USA, and "laugh often for good health." Yes. Really. The tag inside the skirt says that. I love all the nips and tucks on this skirt! So unique!
While taking photos in the park, I was aware that some people might wonder, uh, what is she doing?, so I was quite startled when I turned on my heel and saw this little Eastern fence lizard looking at me! Totally unexpected! I think we scared each other! He allowed on photo and then took off running.
Hair today is a messy bun.
These sandals by Bongo are some of my favorite all-time sandals, go-to shoes for spring, summer and fall!

Caught Up In A Cloud Of Black Ruffles
Dear Dress Lovers,
This post might just as well be called "What I Wore Today," because that is what it is.
I loved, all day, the contrast of magenta jersey ribbon on the dark black with pin stripes. It's all about layering. I know many of you love layering things. I almost always love the result when I layer! You?
gray shirt: Mossimo
black dress: miss me
black skirt: choices
striped white tights: The Scrap Exchange
shoes: Merona
jersey belt: from the scrap box in my office
Alice in Wonderland brooch: Handmade by Yours Truly

Rock Paper Scissors, Or Maybe Just Paper Scissors
Dear Dress Lovers,
Do you remember Rock Paper Scissors? The game? Well, how about Paper Scissors, the dress?
the smirk
Can you believe this brooch was FREE with a package of Goody hairbands? Yah.
I think I will link up to Thorne Garnet and share in her Weird Doll Wednesday with a doll I made. I made him with my own hands, from clay. And then I sewed his clothes. And then I made up his story.
Here he sits in the Irish moss in my garden. This little man made me think of Japan. I don't know why. I pretend that he has a lovely Japanese garden and grows the most lovely flowers to place in his simplistic home. His wife loves them.
